Job summary

Air Ventures LLC is urgently hiring Open Availability line cooks for our Clyde’s concept at Dulles International Airport. The line cook will prepare food to required standards, follow sanitation rules and production procedures, and coordinate with meal service times in a fast-paced airport kitchen.

The role requires 2–3 years in a restaurant kitchen, flexibility to work peak hours, and may require ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a restaurant kitchen.
• ServSafe Certification preferred, but not required.
• Must be eligible for and maintain SIDA badge for airport.
• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the food served using established production procedures and systems.
• Determines amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems.
• Ensures proper serving of food for tray line or dining room.
• Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards.
• Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques.
• Stores food properly and safely, marking the date and item.
• Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor.
• Correctly prepares all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders.
• Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved.
• Apportions food for serving.
• Keeps work area neat and clean at all times; cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation.
• Completes food temperature checks before service.
