Job summary

City of Houston's Houston Airports (HAS) Maintenance division seeks an Interior Painter to deliver high-quality painting, restoration, and refinishing in HAS facilities across three airports. You will review work orders, select materials, and apply coatings to walls, ceilings, and fixtures.

Candidates must have at least two years of painting experience, read and follow instructions, and hold a valid Texas driver's license.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, add, subtract and follow oral and/or basic written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and implements work orders and assignments.
• Identifies, prepares, and obtains required materials, supplies and equipment to complete assignments.
• Performs general painting, restoration, and refinishing techniques, e.g., spray and brush painting, varnishing, priming, scraping, floating, and taping.
• Repairs damaged surfaces.
• Mixes and blends paint to match colors.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area.
