Job summary

Waukesha County Airport is seeking up to 24 temporary, part-time workers to perform snow/de-icing duties and related grounds maintenance. Positions are on-call with two shifts: 7:00am–7:00pm and 7:00pm–7:00am, offering hourly pay of $11.65–$23.31.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications, including high school graduation, valid driver's license, and mechanical aptitude. CDL-B desirable. The recruitment remains open until filled.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Possess mechanical aptitude.
• Work experience in airport and/or other facility grounds maintenance desirable.
• Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment for snow removal and de-icing under adverse weather conditions.
• Responds to emergencies such as snowstorms, windstorms, flooding, accidents, fires.
• Establishes and maintains effective working and public relations with coworkers, airport users, service providers, the public, vendors and outside agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
