Job summary

Waukesha County Airport is seeking up to 24 temporary, part-time workers to perform snow removal and de-icing duties and related grounds maintenance. On-call shifts run 7:00am–7:00pm and 7:00pm–7:00am, and candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Successful candidates will undergo background checks, a driver’s license verification, and may be required to pass a criminal history check. Wisconsin CDL is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Experience in airport/grounds maintenance desirable.
• Wisconsin Class B CDL is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment for snow removal and de-icing under adverse weather conditions.
• Inspects and operates daily assigned equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Responds to emergencies such as snowstorms, windstorms, floods, accidents, fires.
• Maintains effective working relations with coworkers, airport users, and vendors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
