Job summary

Salt Lake City Corporation's Airport department seeks an Airport Fleet Service Worker to handle routine maintenance, service vehicles and equipment, and assist mechanics. You will perform tire repairs, oiling, battery checks and keep shop records in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role requires physical work, a valid driver's license, and may require Utah CDL within 90 days. Wage is hourly and reflects qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to oil, grease, and service light and heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Ability to read and write legibly and keep simple records.
• Ability to perform heavy physical work (lift up to 80 pounds).
• May require Utah Commercial Drivers License within 90 days of employment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license or driving privilege card.

Responsibilities

• Washes, cleans and services City vehicles daily.
• Performs unskilled to routine semi-skilled mechanic work on vehicles and equipment.
• Services equipment with oil, grease, and water; checks batteries and lubricates components.
• Maintains standard shop records for time, parts, and job orders.
• Repairs and balances tires on various vehicles.
