Job summary
SARAA is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and overhaul powered and non-powered vehicles and equipment used at area airports. The role requires knowledge of diesel engines, electronics, hydraulics, and the ability to work with test equipment and schematics.
Responsibilities include carrying out inspections to comply with PA regulations, planning work, and coordinating with vendors and management. A valid PA license and CDL-A certification are highly desirable.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of related experience with automotive gas and/or heavy truck diesel equipment.
- FAA required training and certification.
- Experience in automotive electronics and hydraulics.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Respond to emergency airport operations related to equipment failure or crisis situations.
- Supply and use personal hand tools; assist with special tooling as provided by the company.
- Read schematics and troubleshoot hydraulic and electronic systems.
- Prepare work estimates and plan procedures for efficient workflow.
- Interact with vendors for technical support and parts as needed.
