Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a field-focused construction professional to support complex infrastructure delivery at JFK Airport. You will act as the day-to-day Construction Manager, oversee scope, schedule, and field procedures, and manage cost estimates, submittals, RFIs, and contractor payments.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 10+ years of CM experience, OSHA 30, SIDA eligibility, and proficiency with eBuilder and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• 10+ years of construction project management experience.
• Ability to obtain JFK SIDA badge and valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification with related training.
• Proficiency with eBuilder and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of construction management practices and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Act as the day-to-day Construction Manager for assigned projects, reporting to the Resident Engineer.
• Coordinate with JFK Airport Facility personnel and stakeholders to minimize impacts to airport operations.
• Interpret contract provisions and administer the contract to ensure successful project completion.
• Advise on contractor disputes and facilitate resolution per contract processes.
• Supervise field staff and ensure accurate project documentation and field installations.
• Review submittals and RFIs; ensure timely updates on contract requirements and changes.
• Review daily inspection reports and narratives for accuracy.
• Track T&M tickets and project records for accountability.
• Prepare Extra Work Orders, Net Cost Changes, and cost estimates.
• Review and verify contractor payment applications and support monthly progress/financial reports.
