Job summary

G1 Facility Services is seeking a seasoned Facility Maintenance Technician to join our East Boston team at Boston Logan International Airport. The role requires performing preventive maintenance and complex repairs with minimal supervision in a high‑traffic aviation setting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on facility maintenance experience, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, and painting, and the ability to read manuals and blueprints. A valid U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial or industrial facility maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, and painting.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with 3+ years driving history.
• Able to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Experience with CMMS software preferred.
• Able to obtain airport security badge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable with consistent attendance and professionalism.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and other equipment across the facility.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC repairs and lead complex maintenance projects.
• Handle drywall, framing, painting, carpentry, and general building repairs.
• Conduct proactive inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid failures.
• Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders, inventory, and schedules.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to junior technicians.
• Collaborate with operations to minimize disruption to airport operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per safety and airport rules.
