Job summary

Jackson County in Medford, Oregon is seeking a dedicated Airport Enforcement Team member to safeguard airport properties and enforce federal and local regulations. You will patrol, inspect, investigate incidents, and respond to security concerns around the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, a DPSST Unarmed Private Security license within 30 days, and successful background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 18+ years of age, plus one year of related experience and one year of public contact experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record; DPSST Unarmed Private Security license within 30 days of hire.
• Must pass an in-depth background check and security threat assessment; drug screen including Marijuana; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety, security, traffic control and parking standards on Airport property; maintain regulatory compliance; ensure safety of the public, grounds, tenants and facilities.
• Patrol airfield perimeter, verify authorized personnel, issue notices or citations as needed for violations.
• Conduct routine inspections of interior and exterior areas; perform investigations and assist responding agencies.
• Perform vehicle searches and enforce unattended baggage policies; manage security-related decisions as required.
• Maintain records and communicate policies and procedures to tenants and the public.
