Job Summary

Reporting to the Region VP, the Director will oversee station operations supporting aviation ground services. Responsibilities include managing customer relationships and contracts, fostering a safety and performance culture, and expanding the company's presence at the location.

Job Duties

  • Build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, identify new business opportunities
  • Ensure adequate staffing, promote team building, coach and mentor staff
  • Communicate clearly and effectively
  • Set, measure, and manage performance to meet operational and financial goals
  • Delegate responsibilities, hold team accountable, develop skills
  • Maintain safety standards per regulations and policies
  • Promote safety, anti-harassment, and equal opportunity policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in airline ground handling services
  • Ability to evaluate and improve operational and financial results
  • Effective team leadership and coaching skills
  • Innovation and project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to obtain necessary airport or customs credentials
  • Supervisory experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least four years in aviation ground operations or regional leadership, with leadership training preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to push, pull, lift up to 70 lbs, and perform physical tasks regularly

Working Conditions

  • Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Alertness to moving vehicles and aircraft, radio use
  • Willingness to travel
