Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is seeking a Design Architect/Engineer Supervisory to manage and supervise teams on CCP, COMIP, CIP, and R&R projects at DCA, IAD, DIAAH, and DTR. You will coordinate with departments, airlines, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will lead design management activities, apply architectural and engineering principles, and serve as COTR on selected contracts.

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressively responsible experience in design management of building and/or civil engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• A master’s degree may be substituted for 2 years of required experience.
• Knowledge of public contracting regulations (FAR or similar).
• Ability to work as the owner’s representative during design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervises project managers and administrators on CCP, COMIP, CIP and R&R projects.
• Allocates resources to meet quality, schedule and budget goals.
• Reviews design documents for compliance and maintainability.
• Engages with multiple stakeholders during design and construction.
• Oversees financial and schedule status of projects.
• Prepares presentations for upper management.
• Acts as Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR).
• Wears PPE and may work nights/weekends depending on schedules.
