Job summary

Egis is seeking an Airport Design Engineer for our Mesa, AZ office to deliver critical aviation infrastructure projects and help shape transportation outcomes.

You’ll design runways, taxiways, aprons and lighting, prepare reports and contract documents, and support civil works such as site design and water systems while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet FAA criteria and project deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred.
• 4+ years in civil engineering; aviation experience and FAA knowledge a plus.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design airport engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, airfield lighting, navigational aids.
• Prepare engineering design reports, construction plans, and contract documents.
• Contribute to general civil projects including site design, sanitary wastewater, water, and hydraulics.
