GAT is seeking dynamic individuals to join its team of aviation professionals.

Classification:

Variable Hour, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising all functions of airline customer service operations, including auditing flight paperwork for compliance, evaluating leads and trainers, coordinating proper handling of OJIs including medical attention and reporting, ensuring safety policies are followed, attending safety and team meetings, managing personnel coverage, and liaising with airline customers and airport authorities.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all airline ground support equipment.
  2. Report discrepancies in ground support equipment, both functional and mechanical.
  3. Coordinate with carriers to meet cargo and baggage service needs, ensuring on-time schedules.
  4. Maintain equipment and ensure its safe operation.
  5. Coordinate activities with other departments through communication with supervisors and managers.
  6. Determine manpower requirements and ensure disciplinary procedures are fairly and promptly conducted.
  7. Adhere to attendance and tardiness standards.
  8. Perform under pressure within fixed time constraints.
  9. Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance instructions, hazard labels, loading manifests, and baggage tags.
  10. Comply with all relevant federal, state, municipal, airport, and carrier regulations.
  11. Brief crews before flights on their roles and procedures.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. Strong understanding of airline customer service.
  2. Experience in airport ground handling.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel (minimum 6 months).
  4. Ability to navigate electronic devices (phones, computers, fax, printers, timeclocks).
  5. Proven supervisory experience in a business setting.
  6. Operational planning and resource allocation skills.
  7. Knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.
  8. Understanding of commercial aviation issues.
  9. High School diploma or GED.
  10. Minimum age of 18 years.
  11. Ability to process information promptly.
  12. Valid Driver's License.
  13. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  14. Basic computer literacy.
  15. Previous ramp or airline experience.
  16. Successful completion of training and certifications.
  17. Clear FBI fingerprint background check.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Physically capable of standing, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
  2. Repetitively lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
  3. Work outdoors in various weather conditions with exposure to loud noises.
  4. Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  5. Work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
