Job summary

Parsons in Atlanta is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join the Critical Infrastructure team during a major 6.4 billion airport construction project. You will review safety plans, coordinate site-specific safety programs with prime contractors, monitor compliance, identify deficiencies, and ensure timely corrective action.

The ideal candidate has a college degree, 10 years in safety, OSHA 30, and BCSP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• 10 years previous experience as a Safety Officer.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification.
• BCSP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Review the contractors' Safety and Security Plans and manuals.
• Coordinate site-specific safety programs with prime contractors.
• Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate reporting, investigation and action on incidents.
• Develop and execute procedures for observing safety and security activities.
• Maintain retrievable documentation of safety implementations.
• Follow up with contractors to ensure timely corrections.
• Coordinate safety requirements with Construction Manager and project team.
• Coordinate inspections with City Risk Manager and other stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly observance, deficiency, and corrective action reports.
