Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Construction Manager with airport experience to support the Los Angeles World Airports terminal renovations and Capital Improvement Program. The role requires 20+ years in large civil/structural/aviation projects and a proven Owners Representative track record.

Ideal candidates hold a P.E. or CCM and possess excellent written and oral communication skills suitable for formal presentations to clients and upper management.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in engineering or equivalent construction-related work experience.
• 20+ years of diversified experience in large civil/structural and/or transportation (aviation) projects preferred.
• Professional registration or certification such as P.E. or CCM preferred.
• Proven ability to serve as an Owners Representative.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills (presentations to clients and upper management).

Responsibilities

• Reviews Contractor resources (manpower, materials, and equipment), schedule progress, and reports.
• Monitors Contractor compliance with design and construction requirements.
• Issues nonconformance notices if required and monitors construction progress resolving all non-conformance notices.
• Reviews construction work plans, RFIs, submittals, force account work tickets/extra work bills and change order requests.
• Works proactively to anticipate and resolve issues such as changes in scope and slippage of schedules. Ensures that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
• Ensures Contractor’s effective implementation of all policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
• Ensures the use of sound construction practices to maintain jobsite safety and quality control.
• Prepares reports summarizing progress of construction activities
