Job summary

South Bend International Airport Information & Communications Center Agent is a full-time administrative role in South Bend, IN, providing 24/7 coverage and coordinating security and communications for the airport. The position supports badge processing, emergency response, and day-to-day operational tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; aviation/criminal justice related training helpful.
• Six months to one year customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in a communications center or security background preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Must pass a comprehensive background and criminal history check and pre-employment drug screening.
• May occasionally drive Authority vehicles on Airport grounds and public roadways.

Responsibilities

• Monitor radios and coordinate responses across frequencies.
• Review CCTV screens for surveillance and safety.
• Process airport ID badge applications and maintain records.
• Conduct background checks and security threat assessments for badge applicants.
• Maintain daily activity logs and assist in emergency coordination.
• Answer crash and emergency lines as required.
• Coordinate with tenants and departments to enforce rules.
• Support customer service and operations through inquiries and tasks.
