Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking a limited-term, full-time civil engineering intern to support airport design projects in Scottsdale, AZ. The role runs May/June 2027 through August 2027, with responsibilities across design calculations, documentation, and field support.

The ideal candidate will have completed at least two college semesters in civil engineering and be proficient with AutoCAD and Civil3D. Travel and a valid driver's license are expected.

Qualifications

• Completed at least two semesters of civil engineering coursework from an accredited college or university by start date.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of airport planning and/or design.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers, design technicians, and construction managers on civil engineering projects.
• Contribute to airfield design projects (taxiways, aprons, runways).
• Perform design calculations, quantities, and cost estimates where applicable.
• Prepare project plans using AutoCAD and assist with project reports.
• Support field inspection, documentation, and survey tasks as needed.
