Job summary

Unifi Aviation, LLC is actively seeking a capable mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our employee shuttle buses in Oakland. The role emphasizes diagnosing complex issues, carrying out routine services, and ensuring safe operation across shifts.

You will handle inspections, part orders, and work orders while collaborating with a detail‑oriented team. A valid driver’s license and readiness for airport credentials are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on employee shuttle buses.

• Maintain inventory and order parts as needed.

Job Summary:

The Journey m an Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the Employee Shuttle Busses.

Flight Privileges : Offered after 30 days for employees and eligible family members!

Weekly pay for hourly employees ( CA employees are paid bi-weekly)

Full time starts at 3 0 hours per week!

Job Duties:

Performs preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolants and fluids, brake and tire changes, etc. on vehicles and shuttle busses .

Performs minor/major repair of vehicles and shuttle buses such as starter motors, alternators, batteries, radiators, hydraulic drive components, diesel /gas engines, etc.

Transports vehicles to be repaired by driving, towing, or pushing vehicle into service bay.

Inspect parts and/or motor vehicles to identify defective or broken parts, proper fluid levels , general wear and safety items.

Troubleshoot problems with vehicles and buses . Receives work orders and obtains the necessary tools required for the repair. Completes work orders and provides status on any \"open\" work orders.

Ensures tools and equipment are maintained in an effective, safe working condition.

Orders parts, stock parts and maintains inventory with accurate record keeping.

Performs all other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications:

Highly skilled and experienced:Can diagnose and repair complex issues independently.

Proficient in all areas:May be proficient in all areas of automotive repair, including diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.

Leadership potential:May be able to lead and mentor other mechanics.

Keeps up with advanced training:Stays current with the latest technologies and repair techniques,

Possess a valid Driving License.

Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.

High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.

Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

Possess a Valid TN CDL A or B with a P endorsement or willing to obtain.

two + years of relevant experience in vehicle or bus maintenance . Must be open-minded and ready to work as part of a detail-oriented team.

ASE Certification (Society of Automotive Engineers), CIMM (Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic) or licenses in one or more of the following disciplines is required :

Electrical system and computer diagnostics

Fleet Maintenance experience following DOT Standards.

Physical requirements :

Must be able to constantly l ift , m ove up to 70 lbs , push, pull ; and constantly w alk , s tand, r each a bove s houlder, c limb , c rawl, s toop, s quat, k neel, reach, grasp outwards and b end.

Working conditions:

Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.

Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements .
