Job summary

Plum Market Food Service - Eppley Airfield in Omaha, NE is seeking a Cashier/Barista for a 12pm to 8pm schedule. This role blends guest service with beverage preparation and accurate transactions in a high-traffic airport setting.

You will greet guests, prepare espresso drinks and manage the POS, while keeping a clean, organized station and assisting teammates during peak times. Flexible hours include weekends/holidays, with airport badge requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista or cashier preferred.
• Strong customer service and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and cash handling experience.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a positive and professional attitude.
• Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages according to company standards.
• Accurately operate the point-of-sale system to process guest transactions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked beverage station and register area.
• Restock items including cups, lids, condiments, milk, and grab-and-go offerings.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and airport compliance procedures.
• Respond to guest questions and offer recommendations on products and beverages.
• Support teammates with service, stocking, and cleaning tasks during slower periods or peak times.
• Assist with opening and closing duties for the barista and cashier stations.
