Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking an Airline Baggage Handler in Portland, OR. You will verify passenger boarding passes and move bags to the security screening induction system, assisting travelers through the airport.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to clear a background and drug screen.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs consistently throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, push, pull throughout entire shift.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Complete all required training including airport compliance.
• Able to obtain an airport badge.

Responsibilities

• Verify passenger boarding passes with checked bags and move bags to the security induction system.
• Communicate effectively with passengers and agents, asking safety and security questions.
• Load passenger luggage onto the security screening induction belt.
• Work closely with airline ticket counter agents.
