Job summary

SkyWest Airlines is seeking a part-time Airport Agent to deliver excellent customer service at our airport locations. You will ticket, rebook passengers, assist with baggage, greet travelers, and help with seating and boarding in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 pounds, and a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. DOT safety status is not applicable.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver's license.
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Basic knowledge of fundamental computer programs for record-keeping and baggage routing.
• Lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and effective time management skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer luggage, airfreight, and company mail onto and off aircraft.
• Greet passengers, issue tickets, provide seat assignments, check baggage, board flights, assist customers who arrive without their luggage, and rebook passengers, all in a prompt and friendly manner.
• Escort passengers and customers with special needs safely and provocatively.
• Marshal aircraft in and out of the ramp area.
• This position requires you to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Service aircraft as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Primary Job Duties

Airport agents are primarily responsible for ensuring excellent customer service while performing a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to ticketing and rebooking passengers, boarding flights, assisting passengers with special needs, resolving customer concerns, and more.
