Job summary

Delta Air Lines is seeking a Specialist in Network Scheduling to design and deploy the airline's narrowbody flight schedule. You will balance commercial and operational constraints to maximize asset profitability, coordinating across Network, Revenue Management, TechOps, and Flight Ops.

The role requires 5 years of experience and a BA/BS in a relevant field, strong data analysis and communication skills, and proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related work experience required.
• BA/BS in Aviation Management, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business, Management or related field.
• Strong data analysis and presentation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Knowledge of the airline industry, particularly Delta's network and the Domestic competitive landscape.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and leverage resources across all divisions at Delta.
• Effective collaborator with the ability to excel in a fast-paced and time-sensitive work setting while requiring minimal direction.
• Results oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail and follow through.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design and development of Delta's narrowbody flight schedule.
• Serve as a scheduling expert able to identify possible solutions and understand tradeoffs.
• Assist with training and development of new and less senior team members.
• Collaborate with the Route Planning team to achieve commercial objectives within fleet, crew, and station limits.
• Anticipate Route Planner needs and seek input when adjusting the schedule.
• Ensure hub bank connectivity, optimal patterns, and compliance with curfews, slots, gates, crew duty periods, and maintenance requirements.
• Operate with ambiguity, making tradeoffs when appropriate.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication across multiple groups including Network, Revenue Management, TechOps, Flight Ops, Integrated Ops Planning, and Airport Customer Service.
