Job summary

Flying Food Group is seeking an Equipment Set-Up Attendant in Schiller Park, IL to prepare and stage airline service equipment such as trolleys, carts, and galley inserts for on-time flight service. You will ensure equipment is clean, properly configured, and ready for food assembly according to airline specifications.

Responsibilities include inspecting gear, following airline diagrams, and sanitizing all reusable items per HACCP and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in food packaging, manufacturing, or production is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and packaging standards is a plus.
• Ability to ensure the correct packaging of food items while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ability to communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and stage airline service equipment per airline specifications.
• Inspect equipment for cleanliness, function, and damage.
• Follow setup layouts and diagrams for accuracy.
• Clean and sanitize reusable items per HACCP guidelines.
• Work with Tray Assembly, Cutlery, and Food Production teams for coordinated readiness.
• Track quantities prepared or returned and report shortages or damage.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workstation.
• Operate dishwashing or sanitizing equipment when required.
• Follow safety protocols including proper lifting and PPE usage.
• Assist in loading or transferring equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties to support operations.
