Job summary

Envoy Air Inc. is hiring in New York for a customer service role within the airline network. You will provide friendly service, assist with ticketing and baggage operations, and help passengers from check-in to boarding, while promoting travel with the American Eagle/AA network.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and the ability to work varied shifts. Flight privileges, development programs, and health/life benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18
• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver's license; or travel authority as required
• Willing to work rotating shifts including days, nights, holidays, weekends
• Able to carry up to 75 lbs. and assist passengers with baggage
• Must read/write/speak English fluently
• Spanish language skills helpful in some locations
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred
• Experience with Word and Excel preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, friendly service to customers
• Promote and sell air travel with American Eagle and American Airlines or contracted carriers
• Prepare itineraries, compute fares, issue refunds, issue tickets, check baggage, collect excess baggage charges
• Escort passengers from the terminal to the aircraft
• Handle reservations, standbys, luggage, cabin availability, and in-flight supplies
• Determine flight close-out times and complete flight-related forms
• Support training, scheduling, and daily operations
• Maintain inventory and supplies
• Prepare customer correspondence and reports, investigate discrepancies
• Assist management with administrative duties as needed
• May encounter engine fumes, emissions, dust and noise
• Stand, type, bend, climb stairs; lift baggage up to 75 lbs
• Meet arriving aircraft and operate jet-bridge; observe surrounding area
