Job summary

SkyChefs in Santa Ana, CA is seeking an Operations Supervisor for airline catering operations. You will oversee daily production activities, lead frontline employees, monitor safety and quality standards, and ensure flights are catered accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 1–3 years of related experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and working knowledge of FDA, USDA, OSHA and HACCP regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required.
• 1–3 years of related work experience required.
• Problem solving and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and lead others to obtain productive results.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA and EPA regulations.
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills; ability to multi-task.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure area is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are met.
• Conduct daily work group meetings.
• Schedule and control staff to meet labour productivity and overtime targets.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, EPA, DOT and other regulations.
• Document and follow up on department processes to implement improvements.
• Ensure on-time and accurate production and/or catering of all flights.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
• Other duties as deemed necessary.
