Job summary

LSG Sky Chefs in Anchorage, Alaska, is seeking a Food Operations Supervisor to keep the kitchen running smoothly. You will lead a team on the flight meal line, ensure meals are prepped, portioned, and assembled to high standards, and stay on schedule for every flight.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong scheduling and inventory skills, HACCP and safety knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience: 2+ years as a supervisor in food production, manufacturing, distribution, or meal prep facilities.
• Hands-on management style on the production floor.
• Operational expertise in scheduling, inventory management, labor planning, and production flow.
• Experience in airline catering, meal kit production, or large-scale food operations preferred.
• Familiarity with HACCP, OSHA, USDA, FDA, and allergen controls.
• Union experience in a supervisory role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Purpose: Guide, motivate, and develop your team to meet and exceed performance goals (team includes leads and runners on hot and cold food prep).
• Drive Production Excellence: Ensure meals are prepped, portioned, and assembled to high standards with quality checks.
• Innovate and Improve: Drive process enhancements and safety initiatives in line with industry regulations.
• Optimize Operations: Manage schedules, labor productivity, and costs in a fast-paced environment.
• Inspire Teamwork: Host daily team meetings to align on performance and safety goals.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with supervisors, production leads, and warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations.
