Job summary

• Prepare house airway bill pouch and labels.
• Process external billing based on quotations and tariffs.
• Manage export documentation (AES, DPS, Hazmat, AMS).
• Export compliance including Denied Party Screening and AES filing.

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics regularly reviews our pay ranges against industry standards to ensure fairness.The Airfreight Export Coordinator manages the transportation and compliance of an outbound shipment from pick up to customer billing, ensuring service commitments are achieved and company objectives met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyzes service failures across multiple departments and actions or escalates findings to ensure their timely resolution and preventative measures are being taken (i.e. billing discrepancies, claims, delays…etc)Archives all shipment related documentsAssigns tasks as required to internal departments based on the nature of the requestConfirms shipment-level profitability and escalates any loss-making or low margin shipments to supervisorControls commercial documentation required for export or import declaration and other regulatory agencies or requirements (AES, DPS, Hazmat, AMS)Actions the resolution of any accounts payable issues within area of responsibility.Prepares house airway bill pouch and labelsProcesses external billing based on quotations, established contract rates and standard tariffs and verifies if additional charges were incurred such as trucker waiting timeResponsible for the export compliance including Denied Party Screening and AES filingPerforms other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAssociate’s Degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirementHigh School Diploma or GEDOne to three years of previous experience in freight forwarding industry preferredCompletion of any industry related course is an assetKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ATTRIBUTESOrganizational skillsTime management and prioritizationCustomer-focusedAdaptable / flexible to high-pressured environmentInterpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Email, and InternetProficient in world geography, shipping documentation, and Incoterms preferredProficient written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as freight rates, discounts, and other percentagesPHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is:Frequently required to stand, and walkRegularly required to sit for extended periodsRegularly uses arms to reach, hands and fingers for computer and phone useSpeaking clearly and listening for heavy phone contactRequires close-up and computer screen distance vision abilityReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Inclusion and social diversity are firmly anchored values in our corporate culture.
