Job summary

V2X is seeking an experienced Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role involves maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft to ensure airworthiness under FAA and DoD constraints.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in jet/turboprop/piston maintenance, MRO experience, and an A&P license, with strong ability to read blueprints and use power tools. On-site work with full benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and an active A&P license.
• Minimum 5 years of diversified jet, turboprop, piston maintenance or airframe work.
• Experience in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environments.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to operate power tools and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and modification tasks to ensure airworthiness and FAA/regulatory compliance.
• Disassemble/assemble airframes, engines and systems as required.
• Replace and repair components on engines, airframes, and systems.
• Carry out inspections, troubleshooting and system checkouts.
• Interpret manuals, drawings and blueprints for maintenance actions.
• Mentor less experienced mechanics.

V2X is hiring! We are looking for an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification tasks to ensure airworthiness and compliance with company and FAA regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs assembly, disassembly, and repairs on airframes, engines, and systems.
• Removes, replaces, and repairs parts of engines, airframes, and systems.
• Performs airframe, powerplant, and propeller repairs and modifications.
• Conducts routine inspections and troubleshooting of airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems.
• Conducts airframe system and component changes and system checkouts.
• Interprets technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
• Trains and mentors less experienced mechanics

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance, or airframe sheet metal maintenance.
• Experience in MROs (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul).
• Ability to operate all necessary power tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles.
• Ability to use arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications.

Education and Experience

• High school graduate or GED required
• A&P License is required

Security Clearance & Other Requirements

• Ability to access systems with information restricted to U.S. citizens per federal contract requirements is required.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.
