Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is seeking a skilled Painter to maintain painted surfaces at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport. The role covers interior/exterior surfaces, pavement markings, and vehicle exteriors, with duties including scaffolding and equipment operation.

Qualifications require four years in painting, knowledge of painting tools, ability to read blueprints, and a valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible experience in the painting trade.
• Knowledge of painting tools and equipment for durable finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Must have valid state driver’s license and CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply paint to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Lay out pavement markings using schematics and blueprints.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Work from scaffolds, lifts, or ladders and use safety procedures.
• Move and operate airfield striping trucks and related equipment.
