Job summary

Provo City is seeking a full-time Airport Operations Specialist to oversee airside operations, maintain the airport operating certificate, and coordinate security across facilities. The role requires ensuring safe aircraft flow, conducting inspections for FAA Part 139 compliance, and maintaining doors and security systems 24/7.

Minimum qualifications include a GED, CDL, and security/inspection training; progression to higher levels requires aviation experience and AAAE ratings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL required.
• Airport Security Coordinator cert and Airport Inspector/Wildlife Hazard training completed within 1 month of hire.
• Must obtain Airport SIDA Badge.

Responsibilities

• Direct airside operations and ensure safe, smooth flow of aircraft.
• Inspect airfield to comply with FAA regulations and Part 139.
• Maintain airport certifications and TSR 1542 compliance.
• Monitor security systems, access controls, and airport facilities.
• Complete required paperwork, training, and respond to inquiries.
