Job summary

City of Williston is seeking an Airport Maintenance Technician for the Williston International Airport. The role involves maintaining airport facilities, airfield surfaces, grounds, and systems, with responsibilities spanning from heavy labor to equipment operation and inspections.

The position requires a valid ND CDL (or ability to obtain), strong computer and communication skills, and flexibility to work various shifts. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided by the City.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with satisfactory work experience.
• ND Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain within 180 days.
• Experience operating and maintaining airport equipment and facilities.
• Willing to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of heavy labor and semi-skilled maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance on airport buildings.
• Operate airport equipment safely and effectively (snow equipment, sweepers, trucks, etc.).
• Maintain airport equipment and groundskeeping.
• Assist with electrical, mechanical, and facility maintenance projects.
• Monitor deviations from rules and issue work orders as required.
• Carry out responsibilities in Airport Emergency Plan (AEP).
• Conduct terminal inspections and assist with janitorial duties as needed.
• Communicate with airport administration, contractors, tenants, and the public.
• Oversee contract services related to airport facilities and operations.
• Represent the Airport and City of Williston professionally.
