Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Airfield Lighting Product Junior Field Technician in Windsor, CT. The role focuses on ALP control systems installation, configuration, commissioning and on-site support for airport lighting projects. Expect significant travel and independent work.

Strong electrical and networking fundamentals are required, with emphasis on documentation and training customers. The position offers a pathway to subject matter expertise in CHALP systems and collaboration across engineering

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree from an accredited institution OR two years’ experience in a field service environment.
Prior field service experience is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or advanced technical degree in a technical field is preferred.
Basic understanding of electrical technology and control systems is valued.
Experience configuring network switches and operating computers is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, commission, test and train on ALP control systems.
Travel up to 75% including overnight stays; on-site customer support.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues via helpdesk and field support.
Lead and document factory acceptance tests and project drawings submissions.
Review technical drawings and maintain critical reports like site reports and punch lists.
