Job summary

Training, Rehabilitation, & Development Institute, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Operator for Fort Hood, Texas. The role requires operating industrial tractors with multiple attachments, maintaining grounds, and following security and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain certification to operate a vehicle on the airfield.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with team members.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds of industrial, commercial, or public property.
• Performs minor equipment repairs and operates tractors with various attachments.
• Operates tractors with batwing shredders and other attachments; ensures proper operation and basic repairs.
• Operates industrial tractors within airfield controlled areas.
• Uses hedge trimmers, edging tools, and sprays lawn/trees with fertilizer or insecticide.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs; waters as needed and manages yard care tasks.
• Operates string trimmer and backpack blower.
• Adheres to security requirements and Drug Free Workplace policy.
• Follows OPSSEC procedures and GFP property control guidelines.
• Maintains a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) per EM 385-1-1.
