Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Aviation Electrical Engineer to plan, design, and review airport electric systems, lighting, and navigational aids. You’ll work with project teams across design and construction, contributing to airfield infrastructure and related facilities.

Minimum 5 years in aviation electrical engineering is required, with proficiency in Civil 3D and MS Office. A PE license and FAA/ UFC knowledge are highly valued. This hybrid role offers collaboration with a leading engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• 5+ years of aviation electrical engineering experience with airfield lighting/nav aids.
• Experience applying FAA Advisory Circulars and UFC criteria.
• Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Knowledge of RFIs, RFQs, and field observations.
• Voltage drop and fault current analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and review airfield lighting and navigational aid projects.
• Perform electrical design tasks and support project managers.
• Prepare bid documents, cost estimates, and schedules; coordinate with disciplines.
• Provide on-site construction observation and project engineering support.
