Job summary

Pond & Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer III - Airfield Electrical to join our Professional Design Services team in multiple offices, including Peachtree Corners, GA. The role focuses on designing FAA-compliant airfield electrical systems and supporting runway/taxiway lighting, signage, NAVAIDs, and power distribution.

Candidates should have 4–8 years in electrical design, EIT, and a path toward PE licensure, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D, and a collaborative,

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college
• 4–8 years of electrical design experience, preferably with exposure to airfield lighting, transportation, utility, or aviation infrastructure projects
• EIT certification required; PE license or progress toward licensure strongly preferred
• Familiarity with FAA Advisory Circulars (e.g., AC 150/5340 series), ICAO standards, or aviation electrical design criteria preferred
• Experience or exposure to CCR systems, series lighting circuits, ductbanks, grounding systems, and power distribution systems preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Civil 3D; familiarity with airfield lighting design tools is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams and support project deliverables across multiple assignments
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Design FAA-compliant airfield electrical systems including runway and taxiway lighting
• Contribute to signage, navigational aids (NAVAIDs), and power distribution design
• Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams across multiple airports
• Support projects through design and construction phases
• Assist in maintaining quality and timely delivery of documentation
