Job summary

HDR in Omaha, Nebraska invites an Airfield Design Intern to join the Transportation Business Group. You’ll assist with airfield geometry, pavement design, airport layout plans, and related civil tasks under a senior engineer’s guidance.

Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program is required. Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office. Local candidates with a GPA of 3.0+ are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on airfield design projects by applying civil engineering techniques to runways, taxiways, aprons, and related facilities
• Assist with civil development of airfield geometry, pavement design, airport layout plans, construction quantities, and CAD work under supervision
• Engage with mentors and participate in young professionals’ programs
• Perform other duties as needed
