Qualifications

• Completion of courses in general science, shop mechanics and use of drawings is desirable.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license to operate a government vehicle.
• ASVAB score of 40 on Mechanical.
• Completion of 8.5 weeks of Basic Military Training.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 39.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain concrete and asphalt runways, parking aprons and roads.
• Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment.
• Determine materials and equipment requirements and prepare construction cost estimates.
• Design demolition projects; place and detonate explosives.
