Qualifications

• Completion of courses in general science and shop mechanics is desirable.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license to operate government vehicles.
• ASVAB score of 40 on Mechanical required.
• Completion of 8.5 weeks of Basic Military Training.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 39.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain concrete and asphalt runways, parking aprons and roads.
• Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment like loaders, graders, and dump trucks.
• Determine materials and equipment requirements and prepare cost estimates.
• Design demolition projects; place and detonate explosives.
