Job summary

Aero Paving & Construction, a Southeast Louisiana heavy civil contractor, seeks a Concrete Paving Operator to safely run slipform paving equipment on airfield and heavy civil projects. You’ll work with the paving superintendent and crew to deliver smooth, in-spec pavement daily.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, inspections, maintenance, and coordinating with plant and finishing crews, while adhering to FAA and DoD specs and site security requirements in the South Louisiana region.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating concrete paving equipment, with slipform pavers preferred.
• Ability to read grade stakes, plans and specs for airfield/heavy civil projects.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the region and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate slipform paving equipment and related machinery to place concrete pavement to line, grade, and thickness.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance; report defects promptly.
• Set up, calibrate and adjust paver controls and guidance systems to achieve smoothness.
• Monitor head, mix, and machine performance; coordinate with plant and crews.
• Support FAA/DoD specifications and maintain safety and records.
