Job summary

V2X is seeking an Aircrew Survival Equipment Mechanic to inspect, repair, and repack parachutes and life-support gear. You will follow Navy instructions and company directives, perform corrosion control, and document work in the maintenance records required for compliance.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, potential DoD CAC, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance within 6 months. Training on safety and equipment handling will be provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Aircrew Survival Equipment Mechanic is preferred.
• Must have valid State Driver’s License.
• Able to obtain DoD CAC and security clearance within 6 months of hire.
• Certifications/licensing per program and COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series are required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, and repack parachutes, survival gear, oxygen regulators, and related equipment.
• Follow Navy instructions, maintenance manuals, and company directives for life support systems.
• Perform corrosion control, toolbox and tool control, and safety compliance as required.
• Document work and maintain maintenance records per applicable instructions.
• Brief flight personnel on use and sizing of aircrew flight gear.
• Attend required training and coordinate with supervision on repair procedures.
