Job summary

Lancesoft is seeking an experienced RS Upholstery Technician III for Savannah, GA. You will independently design, fabricate, and install upholstery and trim for aircraft interiors, while mentoring junior technicians and assisting the Shop Lead with project oversight.

The role demands advanced upholstery skills, blueprint literacy, and strong safety adherence. You will support process improvements and ensure high standards of quality and productivity in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes.
• Strong aircraft upholstery/interior experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
• Experience with custom carpet design, cutting, and installation.
• Knowledge of Gulfstream inspection/process specifications and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install aircraft seat covers, curtains, panels, assemblies, and subassemblies.
• Sew, fabricate, and install covers for various aircraft interior panels.
• Interpret material specifications, blueprints, engineering drawings, and design documentation.
• Design, cut, and install advanced custom carpets with unique patterns.
• Use the Corridor material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work.
• Assist the Shop Lead with project coordination and delegation of tasks.
• Accept Lead responsibilities when required.
• Mentor and train junior Upholstery Technicians.
• Conduct and assist with safety audits.
• Maintain shop equipment and associated JSAs.
• Follow Safety, 5S, housekeeping, and aircraft protection procedures.
• Support process improvements focused on reducing material costs, cycle time, and labor hours.
• Maintain required safety, quality, and productivity standards.
