Job summary

Kay and Associates, Inc. seeks an Upholsterer for military aircraft upholstery restoration at Patuxent River, MD. You will repair and rebuild aircraft furnishings, install coverings, trim, and upholstery using hand tools and sewing machines.

The role involves following NAMP requirements, documenting actions in logs, and ensuring safety, tool control, and quality. Prior VH-92A/VH-3D/ VH-60N maintenance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing tasks listed in position description.
• Working knowledge of publications, drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams and schematics (military applications preferred).
• Working knowledge of upholstery, sewing processes and products.
• 5+ years aviation maintenance experience preferred.
• 3+ years VH-92A, VH-3D, VH-60N or similar aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to work day, swing or mid shift as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification.
• Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems.
• Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Inspect/troubleshoot/maintain/modify upholstered aircraft furnishings.
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and directives.
• Document maintenance actions per NAMP requirements.
