Job summary

Global Logistics Support Services, Incorporated (GLSS) has an immediate opening for an Aircraft Worker at NAS Norfolk, VA, in our aircraft repair operation. Responsibilities include performing repairs under supervision, troubleshooting aircraft systems, inspecting maintenance records, and assisting in line maintenance to keep aircraft airworthy.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and be willing to work multiple shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be available to work multiple shifts (including nights and weekends).
• MH-60S maintenance experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs to aircraft following orders of a higher-grade worker.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, APU, ventilation and heating systems.
• Removes, cleans, reinstalls, or replaces defective parts and components seeking standard parts from manuals and samples.
• Supervises jacking and towing of aircraft and sets tensions and adjustments as needed; sources fuel and oil line connections, fittings, and cables.
• Performs pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections and records work in maintenance logs.
• Serves engines and components at line station, performing repairs short of overhaul to maintain airworthiness.
