Qualifications

  • Must hold current, violation-free Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
  • Owns a personal set of aircraft tools.
  • Strong avionics and electrical knowledge with wiring diagrams.
  • Proven troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, avionics, and systems.
  • Able to read manufacturer maintenance documentation.
  • Able to stand long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in hangar.
  • Willing to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.

The KLNS maintenance team supports a general aviation operation focused on keeping aircraft safe, compliant, and mission-ready. Technicians work collaboratively with other maintenance personnel and operational teams to perform high-quality maintenance on customer and transient aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and approved technical data.

This role is ideal for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician who values hands‑on work, strong troubleshooting, and a team‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and perform maintenance on customer and transient aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and approved technical data
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including pre-flight and post-flight inspections
  • Ensure all work during assigned shifts is completed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and company procedures
  • Troubleshoot airframe, powerplant, avionics, electrical, hydraulic, and aircraft systems
  • Accurately complete required maintenance records and documentation
  • Maintain situational awareness and assist with job planning and workload prioritization
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians to support daily maintenance operations
QualificationsQualifications/Skills
  • Current, violation‑free Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
  • Possession of a personal set of tools appropriate to the aircraft maintained
  • Strong avionics and electrical knowledge, including the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Proven troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, avionics, and aircraft systems
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturer maintenance documentation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work throughout the hangar environment
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
