Job summary

BGI, LLC in Akron, OH is seeking a Computer Systems Engineer to apply engineering principles to research, design, develop, implement, and test aircraft-simulation computer systems. You will work on software development, systems integration, and testing, interfacing with contractors, vendors, and government representatives.

On-site work in Akron preferred; travel less than 10% is expected. Requires a technical degree, 3+ years’ experience, C++, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a relevant position after degree.
• Proficiency programming in C++.
• Ability to work in a team or independently and resolve problems efficiently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Ability to travel (<10%).
• Experience with virtualization and embedded software re-hosting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, design, code, and unit test for aircraft simulation software.
• Support subsystem and system integration and test, including virtualization.
• Re-host embedded software into containerized environments and simulate systems.
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and Government representatives on technical aspects.
