Overview

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm


Pay Range: $72,800–$91,520 per year (commensurate with experience)


Regional MRO is an FAA and EASA certified repair station located in Oxnard, California. We specialize in component maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the regional airline market, serving carriers such as SkyWest, Envoy, PSA, GoJet, Endeavor Air, Republic Airways, and CommutAir.

Impact of the Role

As an Aircraft Structures Technician III, you will perform advanced structural repairs at the component level. This is a senior hands-on position requiring mastery of sheet metal and composite repair methods, an ability to mentor less experienced technicians, and a commitment to FAA compliance. Your work ensures that critical aircraft components return to service safely and on time.



Key Responsibilities


  • Inspect and classify component damage; determine appropriate repair procedures.

  • Perform structural repairs and fabrication on cowlings, access doors, fairings, control-surface panels, ducting, and honeycomb/core assemblies.

  • Drill, ream, countersink, dimple, and install solid & blind rivets, Hi-Lok, nutplates, and threaded inserts.

  • Cold form dents and deformations in metallic components.

  • Mix and apply sealants, aerodynamic smoothing compounds, adhesives, primers, corrosion inhibitors, and composite resins; perform limited touch-up painting.

  • Operate brakes, shears, presses, stretch-formers, and rotary tools; use calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and CMM (as assigned).

  • Work strictly to SRM, CMM, service bulletins, and RS-DER instructions.

  • Maintain tools and equipment; support one-part flow and 5S shop practices.

  • Mentor and support Tech I/II team members.



Qualifications


  • Minimum 3 years at Technician II level (or equivalent).

  • FAA Airframe License, Repairman Certificate, or military AST training/equivalent.

  • Knowledge of 14 CFR Parts 43, 65, and 145.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform sheet metal and composite structural repairs with minimal oversight.

  • Strong commitment to safety, documentation, and teamwork.

  • FAA-certified repair station environment; exposure to aircraft components, solvents, adhesives, paints, noise, and fumes.

  • PPE required as part of standard safety practices.

  • Must pass pre-employment background check and FAA/DOT drug test; ongoing participation in the Anti-Drug & Alcohol program required.

  • Standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. required.
