Job summary

AIRBORNE Tampa is seeking an experienced aircraft mechanic to fabricate, repair, replace, or rebuild aircraft structures and repair parts in accordance with company policies, maintenance manuals, and governmental requirements.

The role requires heavy maintenance experience, ability to read manuals and blueprints, hands-on tool use, and leadership to guide technicians while maintaining safety and quality. Comprehensive benefits and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with an airline or MRO company.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints and drawings.
• Proficient in using tools, gauges, instruments for tasks.
• Understanding hazardous materials handling and disposal as related to the job.
• Minimum required tools and readiness to meet SIDA badge qualifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work with leadership to supervise others and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, replace, or rebuild aircraft structures and repair parts per manuals and specs.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.
• Lead and direct the work of other employees and ensure high-quality results.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision while maintaining safety and compliance.
• Utilize tools, gauges, and instruments efficiently to complete tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of hazardous materials handling and disposal as required.
