Job summary

HIKINEX is seeking a Stress Analyst – Aircraft Structures in Costa Mesa, CA. This hands-on role focuses on evaluating strength, stability, fatigue, and damage tolerance for advanced aerospace structures.

You will lead FEMAP/NASTRAN analyses from loads through modeling, margins of safety, and reporting. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in aerospace structural analysis, expertise with FEMAP and NASTRAN, and a strong foundation in first-principles calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of aerospace structural analysis or stress analysis experience.
• Hands-on FEMAP experience required.
• Experience with NASTRAN or comparable solver; direct experience with NASTRAN decks/cards preferred.
• Strong understanding of aircraft structural mechanics and stress analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis at component, assembly, and aircraft levels.
• Develop and evaluate finite element models using FEMAP and NASTRAN.
• Analyze structures for strength, buckling, fatigue, damage tolerance, and related modes.
• Evaluate load paths and structural response using FEA and first-principles calculations.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation; communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, integration teams; support prototype development and integration.
