Job summary

Avcon Industries, Inc. is seeking skilled technicians for modification installation on business jets.

The role focuses on structural repairs, sheet metal work, and following blueprints to install and modify equipment for complex projects. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with aircraft fasteners and sheet metal fabrication, with the ability to read drawings, work independently or in small teams, and pass FAA-aligned safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years or 1 year and be a graduate of an accredited aircraft maintenance school.
  • FAA A&P is desirable but not required.
  • Must be able to interpret, follow and execute aircraft blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and tag equipment location for modification.
  • Follow aircraft blueprints to perform structural modifications.
  • Perform sheet metal riveting, cutting, bending, painting, and installation tasks.
  • Reinstall removed equipment to restore aircraft worthiness.
  • Communicate with coworkers to maintain safety.
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Prepare parts for installation.
  • Read and apply measurements to parts and equipment.
  • Lift and transport materials and tools as needed.
  • Follow instructions to complete tasks.
  • Maintain clean work areas and promote safety.
  • Report issues to supervisor.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
