Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Saint Louis is seeking a Structural Mechanic 2 to support assembly, riveting and alignment of aircraft structures in a fast-paced production environment. You will read blueprints, follow SOPs, use sheet metal techniques and maintain quality standards to ensure conformity with design specifications.

The role requires 2 years of related structural assembly experience, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with Solumina and Smarteam is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for the role.
• 2 years related structural assembly experience.
• Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures.
• Rivet structural assemblies using various tools and ensure conformity.
• Read work orders, blueprints and operation sheets to determine sequence.
• Check all work for defects and ensure final conformity before inspection.
• Maintain logs and records (MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs) as required.
• Ensure safe handling of tools and maintain a neat work area.
